Get "more voices." Those words repeated in my brain until I could not sleep. It was the same voice that saved my life. Now it inspired me to save thousands more. I was trafficked by immediate and some extended family members from 6 months to 17 years old. My birth mother was the primary perpetrator of evil in my life. I was five years old when I begged God to let me die.
As I sat on the curb of my house waiting for a car to come so I could jump in front of it, I looked up into the big blue sky. I wondered, Who made it? Did someone bigger than the people hurting me exist? I heard a clear, gentle voice say, "This is not the plan I have for you." My heart listened intently. It was God's voice. He knew why I was on that curb.
I chose to live to help others live. My birth mother's last attempt to kill me was at 17. I speak for every exploited child whose voice has been brutally silenced. It is God's voice in me that leads one of the greatest human rights movement today: ending human trafficking.
The new book will create greater awareness about human trafficking worldwide. This multi-billion dollar transnational criminal industry affects the most vulnerable among us in every community regardless of race, gender, religion, culture or socioeconomic status.
Become a human rights champion and bring justice to those selling human beings for profit. Together we are “The Strength of Many Voices Speaking as One.” Be a part of our unstoppable movement to end 21st Century slavery.

The heroic organization VAT has published a landmark work, Voices Against Trafficking: the Strength of Many Voices Speaking as One. This searing publication tells the harrowing story of the criminal global human trafficking industry through the voices of both victims and rescuers. It is a painful story—one that is hard to hear—but as our hearts are touched by the narratives of those who have endured and fought against this evil, our moral conscience will be awakened to act. We are each called to be our brothers’ and sisters’ keepers and this powerful book will remind us of that duty.

This is such an extremely important book, that you can simply not turn away from it. These stories need to be told and shared. Everyone from all walks of society needs to learn and educate themselves on this horrific human rights abuse. Thank you to the authors for putting this incredible piece of literature together. One day, I hope that human trafficking will only be something we read about in the history books.

Voices Against Trafficking: the Strength of Many Voices Speaking as One uses personal stories, media perspectives, and other human rights advocates to illuminate a blind society. A pornified culture continues to sexually abuse children & adults through internet & home-town predators, hypersexualized pornographic media, and corporate business interests through the evils of trafficking, prostitution, and children’s dance. This trend won’t stop until our unified voices cut through the darkness. Get ready to read a book that will change your life.

A sincere thank you to the founding members of Voices Against Trafficking for your extraordinary efforts to bring awareness to the complexity and prevalence of human trafficking. Your pioneering work to protect—and rescue—countless women and children victimized by this modern-day slavery has been exceptional. Your voices and your written words have brought, and continue to bring, courageous, innovative and highly effective leadership to the fight to end this heinous crime.

Behind every line written in this book is the silenced voice by a criminal industry that we are called upon to fight. That is one of the great virtues of this work. It puts a megaphone in the hands of survivors so that we can listen to their stories and stand in front of their pain and their hope. Once someone reads this book, it will be impossible for them to remain indifferent to human trafficking.
Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21)

To take what God has created free in His own image and treat it as a commodity for profit is a dark, horrific evil that endangers liberty everywhere. This book offers an informative and compelling look into the shadows where this evil occurs and sheds light on how we can collectively work to stamp out the scourge of human trafficking.
